SlutWalkers hit the streets of Jerusalem

Dozens of Israeli activists take part in a "SlutWalk" rally in Jerusalem to protest sexual violence and counter claims that women's attire or behaviour provoke rape and sexual assault. (Gali Tibbon, AFP)
Seems like Slut Walkers have hit practically International Level.... I would never think Jerusalem would allow it! Anyway many Israeli activists take part in a "SlutWalk'' which is to protest sexual violence and counter claims that women's attire or behaviour provoke rape or sexual assault. The woman marched throughout the city in minimal and sexually suggestive clothing with slogans and signs... They called their event March of the Sharmutot which means slut in Hebrew slang.
SlutWalks have been held in dozens of cities around the world, including Toronto, Auckland and Wellington in New Zealand, New Delhi, Philadelphia, Seoul, Sydney, Washington, Paris and Berlin. In March, SlutWalks were held in the Israeli cities of Haifa and Tel Aviv. Lets not forget Johannesburg South Africa!
While I think this is great, I still have to say as a 'fellow woman', and by no means am I saying that it is any woman's fault just saying cover up a little bit more and not go to dodgy places if you want to dress a little provocatively.....rrr

So by now I'm sure you have heard FHM Modelbook 2011 winner, Jessica Leandra dos Santos has been under fire.... she has been stripped of her title by FHM editor Brendan Cooper... with immediate effect. Now if you dont know, let me inform you... Jessica updated her twitter page (which ofcourse has been removed) saying: "Just, well took on an arrogant and disrespectful kaffir inside Spar. Should have punched him, should have".
The Editor of fhm had said "It's important to us that it is noted that she in no way represents the magazine; she was merely the winner of an online poll we ran, and that we totally distance ourselves from her blatantly racist comments." She has also lost sponsorships including Quick Trim SA since hearing the news of her tweets
Apparently a complaint was lodged against Jessica with the Human Rights Commission by activist and Mabine Seabe. Seabe tweeted the following: "I have lodged a complaint against Jessica Leandra with the Human Rights Commission on the basis of crimen injuria and libel. #DownWithRacism".

She has however apolagised and replied saying:  "Tweeted with anger after an incident last night. Forget it pls, I dnt stand still against sexual harassment, thats all.' she also explained saying "I tweeted rather irresponsibly about an incident, using a harsh and unkind word about the gentleman who had confronted me with sexual remarks and sounds."
This was not the only tweet, there was another tweet (that has been removed) saying :
"Highlight of my weekend? Almost punching an #Engen petrol assistant. No tolerance for rude African monkeys whatsoever!"

Ouch.... I can say I think she realises she's made a mistake especially since she hasnt had any mercy ... if you a public figure and have sponsorships surely you cant be stupid to tweet such things. I hope she and alot of people have learnt a valuable lesson. Racism should not be tolerated, lets all be one.... And by no ways am I saying I haven't been racist before but I wish people would rather keep it to themselves. Let this be a lesson for all!
